- Initial discovery of form complexity.
- Estimating builder effort.
- Finding forms with custom code or unsupported controls.
- Identifying SharePoint list/library dependencies.
- Creating a migration wave plan.
When to export
Export when the form has enough supported or scaffoldable content that a generated .msapp will save meaningful build time. If a form is dominated by manual rebuild items, use the analysis report for scope and rebuild planning instead.
Portfolio tip
Analyze a sample from each form family first. Similar forms often share the same rules, supporting lists, and manual-review patterns, which makes the migration effort easier to estimate.
