How to complete Required Settings correctly

Set the app name, destination SharePoint target, supporting lists, and generation options in the right order.

Quick answer

In short

Required Settings connects the detected form to the real SharePoint site, list/library, and supporting data sources that the generated Power Apps package will use.

Most likely cause

Export blockers usually come from a missing primary list ID, stale SharePoint URL, or unresolved supporting list that a dropdown depends on.

What to do next

Enter the destination site URL, load lists and libraries, confirm the primary target, then verify every required supporting SharePoint target shows a real list/library match.

Why the site URL appears in more than one place

The discovery panel loads the primary destination site. The supporting-target panel uses that same URL by default so lookup lists can be checked automatically. Only edit the supporting-target URL when those lists live on a different site.

Common mistakes

  • Using a list URL where the site root URL is expected.
  • Loading one destination site but leaving supporting targets pointed at an older source site.
  • Skipping column import before reviewing mappings.
  • Exporting while a required supporting list still says it is waiting for site inventory.
