How to review the Media tab

Confirm images, logos, picture buttons, and missing media before deciding whether to carry them into the app.

Quick answer

In short

The Media tab shows embedded image assets and media references found in the InfoPath package. It helps you decide whether to include images in the generated app or download them separately.

Most likely cause

Oversized generated screens often come from carrying large landing-page graphics into a canvas that has less room than the original InfoPath view.

What to do next

Use Required Settings to include or exclude original images, then use Download all Media on Export when makers need the original files.

What counts as media

  • Logos and header artwork.
  • Hero or landing-page images.
  • Button images and icon-based actions.
  • References to images that were in the XSL but not embedded in the package.

When to include media automatically

Include images when they help users recognize the form, support a confirmation screen, or provide meaningful visual navigation. Exclude them when the goal is a clean app shell and the original images are decorative or too large.

Missing media

If the analyzer sees an image reference but cannot find binary data in the package, the generated app cannot embed that file. Download the media manifest from Export and manually add missing files in Power Apps Studio if they are still needed.
